Understanding Dashrite Logistics Terms Use In Delivery/Shipping
Logistics Terms & Meaning
- Courier fees: the fees that you get for your service
- Courier fees are charges for the delivery of items, usually calculated based on factors such as distance, weight, and speed of delivery. These fees cover the cost of transporting the items from one location to another, and they can vary depending on the courier service provider and the specific requirements of the delivery. To ensure you know the costs involved, you must inquire about courier fees when sending packages or items.
- Package fees: Your sender can request that you collect money for him/her and send it back to him after delivery; this is the package fee.
- Example: Let’s say a customer purchases products from an e-commerce store that accepts Cash on Delivery; in this case, the seller needs to collect money from the buyer, so when the package arrives, you, the delivery personnel, need to collect the package fee, which is also the item selling fee.
- Return courier fees: Return courier fees are the charges for sending a package or item back to the original sender or a specified location. These fees cover the cost of shipping and handling for returning the item through a courier service.
- Return package cost: Just for the system and removed for the customer.
- Return package fees are responsible: When returning collected money from the receiver to the customer, who will pay for this action? The receiver or the sender.
- Postpaid: The shipping fees will be collected from the receiver
Prepaid: The shipping fees will be collected from the sender
